Image Background Removal


Sometimes when you try to insert a picture into your slide, the background of that picture doesn’t fit the color
scheme of the slide. The background may alsotake up valuable space. In Office 2010 you can  now make the image’s background transparent, allowing other slide elements to shine through.

1. Click View | Master Views | Slide Master.
2. Make sure the Title and Content layout is selected on the left (it should be by default).
3. Click Insert | Picture and choose Bird Logo.jpg.
4. Resize the image to be smaller and drag it to the upper left corner.
5. With the image selected, click Format | Adjust | Remove Background.
6. Drag the upper left corner of the square to the corner of the image.
7. Drag the bottom edge down to include the bird’s talon.
8. Click Background Removal | Close | Keep Changes.
9. Click View | Presentation Views | Normal.
10. Navigate the slides to make sure the bird logo stayed
